Women Who Own It!

Businesses owned by women have a huge impact on the Lake market. Many female business owners juggle hundreds of other tasks while running their successful business, as they know the importance of motherhood, family and community, as well as having a career. The Lake area is home to many businesses of numerous varieties owned by women.
VINITA STATHOPOULOS, Broker/Owner of Shoreline Realty, Inc., showcases her looks from Blair’s Landing in front of one of her home listings. With the assistance of store owner Judy Blair, Vinita gives us a glimpse of how to dress up or down depending on her schedule for showings, closings, meetings or dinner out.
PAULA BRACKETT, owner of June and Beyond Boutique, looks flawless in her fashions from her own store. Paula shows readers how easy it can be to dress in the season’s trends as she models her looks at her retail store in Lebanon.
Both owners of successful local businesses, these two beautiful women spent a few hours of their workday to be models for this Fashion section — although most of their hours are spent continuing to build their enterprises. •

WHAT GAVE YOU THE COURAGE TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS?
I knew when I moved back to the Lake in 1998 I definitely wanted to pursue my real estate career. I knew it would be challenging, but I felt the time was right!
WHAT IS YOUR OUTLOOK ON THE HOUSING INDUSTRY AT THE LAKE?

The trend over the past few years has been very positive. 2017 was one of the best years since the recession, and I believe properties will continue to appreciate.
HOW WOULD YOU PRESENT A HOME TO BE LISTED?

When I list a home I try to be professional, honest and tactful with the Seller. Staging is an important marketing tool when selling a home, along with decluttering and repairing.
