When 20,000 men converged on lake Ozark to build the Bagnell Dam in the late 1920s, they couldn’t have foreseen the blank canvas they started with would create a beautiful lake destination for millions of people to enjoy long after they were gone. While Lake of the Ozarks has since built itself with the help of intelligent businessmen, developers, and willing area officials, it would take OZARK creator Bill Dubuque to make it more famous than anyone could have imagined.
