For many Missouri families, a visit to a food bank is the moment between fear and relief. Governor Mike Kehoe understands that feeling. Raised by a single mother and the youngest of six children, he remembers the days when money was tight, and kindness from others made all the difference. His support for food banks comes from that place, wanting every child to feel secure and every family to know help is there.

Reaching all 114 counties and St. Louis City, Feeding Missouri Food Banks moves more than 120 million pounds of food each year through a vast network of over 1,500 local pantries, kitchens, and community programs, bringing real hunger relief to Missourians who need it most. One in every six Missourians struggles to put food on the table, and more neighbors are turning to food banks for support. They see this as Missourians lift one another, from kids holding classroom food drives to volunteers, local businesses, and caring leaders like Governor and First Lady Kehoe.
Governor Kehoe’s passion for Missouri’s food banks comes from a simple belief: neighbors take care of neighbors. He knows hunger can touch any family, in any town, and he and the First Lady have always had a heart for serving others. His support reflects a genuine desire to strengthen families, lift communities, and make sure every Missourian feels seen, supported, and fed.
