At 36, Kyle Robinson, Vice President of Sales at Econo Lift, brings passion, family pride, and a love for helping others to the generational boat lift company his grandparents founded. Raised in Camdenton, Missouri, Kyle never imagined himself back in his hometown, much less leading the next generation of the family business.
“I never thought I’d end up doing something like this,” Kyle reflects. His early dreams were rooted in music, with a passion for piano and songwriting that took him all the way to Los Angeles after high school. “I was more of a singer-songwriter type, playing and touring. That was my dream growing up.”
After his time in L.A., Kyle found himself drawn back home. His return marked the start of a new chapter, one where he would go from building and installing lifts to discovering his natural fit in sales.
“I’m absolutely obsessed with selling,” Kyle says with a grin. “I get such a rush; it gives me this real sense of accomplishment.” While he once assumed he’d never be a “people person,” Kyle laughs at that now. “I’m a people-pleaser, and I love helping people, whether it’s selling lifts or helping my friends move. I’d honestly be offended if someone didn’t ask me to help!”
Kyle works closely with his father, Steve Robinson, whom he calls his greatest mentor. “My dad might be the best person ever, not just to work for, but in general. One of the main reasons I’m here is to help and to learn
from him. You can’t spend a day with him without learning something valuable.”
That deep sense of loyalty extends beyond blood. “Some of our employees have known me since I was knee-high,” Kyle shares. “I see them as family, and when we hire someone new, I treat them the same way. That’s the heart of a family business, everyone matters.”
Looking ahead, Kyle’s dreams are grounded in continuing the legacy. “I’d love to take over the business one day,” he says with determination. With a passion for both the craft and the people, Kyle Robinson is steering Econo Lift toward a future that stays true to its roots while making waves of its own.
