Brad Ekstam is the founder and owner of FASS Diesel Solutions, a Missouri-based company that has become one of the most trusted names in the diesel industry. Known throughout the trucking, military, and diesel performance industries as a forward-thinking innovator, Brad has spent decades building a brand that stands for reliability, durability, and real-world problem solving.

By his mid-teens, Brad was already operating Class 8 trucks during his summer breaks, experiencing firsthand the challenges faced by operators who depended on diesel power every day. Those years exposed him to a recurring frustration — inconsistent engine performance and poor fuel economy caused by air and vapor issues in the working environment. He realized this aeration is the root cause of expensive injector and fuel pump failures. Instead of accepting those failures as inevitable, Brad believed there had to be a better solution.

In the early 1990s, he began experimenting with fuel systems in his garage. Through years of trial, error, and relentless testing, Brad developed a concept that would change the diesel world: a Fuel Air Separation System. The idea was simple but groundbreaking—remove water, debris, and air from diesel fuel before it reached sensitive engine components. The result was cleaner fuel delivery, three times longer injection system life, fewer breakdowns, improved performance, and improved miles per gallon.

By 2003, Brad launched FASS Diesel Fuel Systems, turning his innovation into a business. From the start, he emphasized precision engineering, high-quality manufacturing, and a commitment to integrity. All while delivering a measurable return on investment for his customers—and utilizing over 90% U.S.A.-made components.

Brad’s vision was rooted in creating real solutions for truck owners, farmers, fleets, military, mining, marine, and performance enthusiasts.

Under Brad’s leadership, FASS quickly grew into an industry leader. The company’s manufacturing facility in Marthasville, Missouri produces fuel systems for everything from pickups to heavy-duty Class 8 rigs. Every system is engineered, assembled, machined, fabricated, and tested in the U.S.A., reflecting Brad’s commitment to American manufacturing.

What sets Brad apart is his relentless focus on customers. He built FASS around the principle that diesel owners should trust their fuel system, whether hauling freight, plowing fields, operating forestry equipment, or chasing horsepower on the dyno.

He also prioritized creating a strong dealer and installer network, ensuring that customers receive the right products and the right support. The company has four teams traveling the country to improve customer loyalty. These teams connect with shops and customers alike to learn about what FASS is doing right—and where there’s
room for growth.

However, Brad’s vision has extended beyond diesel fuel systems. His passion for innovation and American manufacturing has extended into multiple industries—including emissions/EGR solutions, suspension components, and most recently, FASS Packaging.

Based in Wright City, Missouri, FASS Packaging specializes in hexacomb, triple wall boxes, and custom package engineering.

Brad also remains heavily involved in research and development at FASS. His mission is clear: provide the highest quality, most innovative upgrades for diesel trucks—period.
Through his leadership, the FASS family of companies has become more than manufacturers—they collectively represent American ingenuity, problem-solving, and a passion for quality.

At the heart of it all is Brad Ekstam, an entrepreneur whose vision and determination has made a lasting impact on the diesel industry. As a man of faith, Brad recognizes that God has blessed him with an excellent team of like-minded individuals that share the same passion and drive.
