Dale Law Awarded MarineMax’s Highest GM Honor

Dale Law, General Manager of MarineMax Lake Ozark, has been named the 2025 Bill McGill General Manager of the Year, one of the highest honors within the MarineMax organization. Among more than 120 MarineMax locations nationwide, the Lake Ozark store has ranked in the top 10 four of the past five years, a testament to Law’s steady leadership and results-driven culture.

“Dale represents the very best of MarineMax leadership,” said Brett McGill, CEO and President of MarineMax. “His focus on developing his team, serving customers with integrity, and positively impacting his community truly embodies the principles my father believed great leaders should stand for.”

A graduate of Iberia High School, Law attended CMSU from 1986–1989, where he played basketball. He spent 12 years with Central Bank before transitioning into the marine industry.

Deeply rooted in the community, Law is active with the Tri-County YMCA and has dedicated more than 25 years to the Three Rivers Run, a YMCA charity ride he helped found.

Mammoth Fieldhouse: Osage Beach Set to Gain Major Multi-Sport Destination

A major new sports-entertainment destination is being planned for Osage Beach, as developer Gary Mitchell unveiled plans for a Mammoth Fieldhouse during the January 7, 2026 Osage Beach Board of Aldermen meeting. The multi-sport complex is proposed for the Arrowhead Centre along State Route KK, on the former Dogwood Hills Golf Course site.

The Mammoth Fieldhouse concept blends sports-style entertainment with food and beverage options and may include features such as a Top Golf-style driving range, pickleball, and Pure Putt, though final amenities will be determined following a market study later this year. Timing for the Osage Beach location aligns with the development of The Oasis at Lakeport, a project anticipated to enhance year-round economic activity in the area.

The project would occupy approximately 10–12 acres within the nearly 300-acre Arrowhead Centre development, signaling continued growth and diversification for Osage Beach’s entertainment landscape.

Bridge Dedicated to Officer Carson

The Officer Phylicia Carson Memorial Bridge was formally dedicated on January 23 at the Osage Beach City Hall during a heartfelt ceremony honoring the life, service and sacrifice of the fallen police officer. Spanning Highway 54 over the Grand Glaize Arm of the Lake of the Ozarks, the bridge now serves as a permanent reminder of Carson’s commitment to protecting her community. Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe, House District 123 Representative Jeff Vernetti, Osage Beach Mayor Michael Harmison and Osage Beach Police Chief Todd Davis each spoke during the dedication, sharing reflections on Officer Carson’s professionalism, courage and lasting impact on those she served alongside and protected. Their remarks emphasized the profound loss felt throughout the region and the importance of remembering her service. The ceremony held special significance with the presence of Carson’s family, who participated in a ribbon cutting for renaming the bridge. The dedication underscored the community’s enduring gratitude and ensured Carson’s legacy will continue to be honored for generations to come.

Vernetti Secures Baby Box Funding

State Rep. Jeff Vernetti announced that Missouri’s twelfth Safe Haven Baby Box will be installed at the Mid-County Fire Protection District in Camdenton, with installation and an unveiling planned for spring 2026. The secure, temperature-controlled box allows parents to anonymously surrender newborns up to 45 days old under Missouri’s Safe Haven law. Once a baby is placed inside, first responders are immediately alerted to provide prompt medical care.

Vernetti raised $16,000 in private donations from Preserve at Sycamore Creek Apartments, Thomas Construction and Scott’s Concrete to fully fund the project. Thomas Construction also committed to donating labor and services for installation.

“I felt that we needed to present residents of Camden County and the surrounding communities with this safe alternative to saving lives,” Vernetti said.

Local officials say the addition will expand access to a compassionate, life-saving resource for families facing difficult circumstances.
