In 1975, Mack Amini opened a modest store in Oklahoma City with just five pool tables and a handful of bar stools. Having emigrated from Iran in the 1960s, Mack was driven by a vision of entrepreneurship and a desire to build a better life for his young family. Over the next five decades, that small venture grew into Amini’s Galleria, a premier destination for luxury home furnishings, game room essentials, and outdoor living, with locations in Chesterfield, Kansas City, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City.
Today, Mack’s son, Arash Amini, serves as CEO, continuing the family’s commitment to quality, service, and community. Arash’s journey is deeply rooted in the values instilled by his parents, Mack and Rajeanna, who not only co-founded the business but also worked side by side to nurture its growth. Rajeanna, who served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer, played a pivotal role in shaping the financial backbone of the enterprise.
Arash’s own family reflects the same spirit of unity and purpose. He and his wife, Stephanie, are raising three children, Mack, Gemma, and Ari, who are already becoming familiar faces at the stores and family events. The Aminis cherish their time together, often retreating to their condo at Lighthouse Point at the Lake of the Ozarks to relax, recharge, and strengthen their family bonds. “Everyone at the Lake is happy and so nice! It’s such a great place for us to connect with family, friends, and customers. With our long history in both Kansas City and St. Louis, the Lake is the perfect venue for us to see friends from all over the state of Missouri!” explains Arash.
Beyond business and family, Arash is known for his unwavering commitment to philanthropy. He actively supports several charitable organizations, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), the Alzheimer’s Association, the Muscular Dystrophy Associ-ation, and Junior Achievement. Arash “never says no” when it comes to giving back, a testament to his generous spirit and dedication to making a positive impact.
Under Arash’s leadership, Amini’s Galleria continues to thrive, blending timeless values with modern innovation. The company’s success story is not just about furniture and design; it’s about a family’s pursuit of the American Dream, built on hard work, integrity, and a deep-seated commitment to the community. Arash explains, “Dad did the hard work of establishing the foundation and laying the groundwork. His philosophy is to be disciplined, organized, and, most importantly, happy. Surround yourself with people who make you smile, and always remember that loyalty works both ways. That’s why we have very low turnover and an incredibly strong team of people.”
As Amini’s celebrates their 50th year, the future has never looked brighter. Arash expanded the Chesterfield location by 40% in 2023, and work has begun on a massive fulfillment center nearby. The result was their biggest sales year in history in 2024. “If I had to use one word to best describe what we do at Amini’s, it would be Entertainment. What better word could you use to describe a store that offers the highest quality pool tables, pinball machines, shuffleboard tables, saunas, hot tubs, game room, and bar furnishings!”
