THE DMAC IMPACT FOUNDATION hosted its Second Annual Dase Jam 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, Dinner, and Auction on April 12. Featuring both competitive and recreational brackets, along with family-friendly activities, the event once again set new records. The DMAC Impact Foundation was established in memory of Dason McNerney to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families affected by Crohn’s disease and related challenges. The foundation provides scholarships, camp sponsorships, addiction resources, and community outreach programs.
THE BAGNELL DAM ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS HOMEOWNER APPRECIATION DAY POKER RUN took place on April 26 along the Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark, Missouri. The event featured twelve participating bars, live street energy, and a poker run. Participants registered at Neon Taco and the Malted Monkey and received free t-shirts while supplies lasted. Proceeds from the $20-per-card donations benefited the Eldon Dolphins Swim Team. The event was sponsored by several local businesses and organizations.
L•O PROFILE CELEBRATED THE MAY/JUNE LAUNCH SOCIAL was held on May 6 at 1932 Reserve. This issue was recently named honoree of the prestigious 31st Annual Communicator Award of Excellence for Design. The event spotlighted the cover story featuring Randi Mahomes, “Raising a Star Athlete – A Mom’s Playbook,” as part of the Build, Design, and Real Estate Edition. Guests enjoyed complimentary hors d’oeuvres in a sophisticated setting while honoring the HK LOTO Open Golf Tournament Celebrity Chairman Jason Whittle. Lakeside Constructors generously sponsored beverages for the evening, adding to the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The night brought together local business leaders, marketing partners, and community members for a memorable evening of networking, celebration, and recognition of influential voices in the Lake of the Ozarks community.
THE 2025 LAKE WEST BUSINESS EXPO took place on March 29 at Lake Christian Academy and showcased a wide range of local businesses, products, and non-profits under one roof. This was a valuable connection for community members and supporting local businesses. The event also included exploring home improvements and gift opportunities. Free admission and parking made it an accessible and engaging day for all.
THE 41ST ANNUAL ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE took place on March 15 on the historic Bagnell Dam Strip. The parade featured floats, cars, motorcycles, and even boats, all decked out in green for a fun-filled afternoon of festivities. From dressed Imposter Leprechans and St. Pat himself to the crazy costumes of green, the Lake does not hold back on the holiday celebration. With record numbers of participants and spectators, the day began at the early morning stages and ended with celebrations into the night. The holiday awakens the Lake to its glorious season. The event attracted families from near and far, making it a memorable day of community spirit and St. Patrick’s Day fun at Lake of the Ozarks.
THE 2025 ST. CHARLES BOAT SHOW, SPONSORED BY THE LAKE OF THE OZARKS MARINE DEALERS ASSOCIATION (LOMDA), was held from February 27 to March 2 at the St. Charles. Convention Center. Attendees had the chance to explore new models of boats, personal watercraft, docks, and accessories. This LOMDA event is the largest recreational boat show in the St. Louis area, offering great deals for boating enthusiasts.
THE 2025 OVERLAND PARK BOAT SHOW, presented by the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association, occurred from February 13-16 at the Overland Park Convention Center.
2025 LAKE OF THE OZARKS EAGLE DAYS took place on January 4, attracting nearly 1,000 attendees across four locations. The event featured new programs, including the World Bird Sanctuary’s raptor presentations at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, where attendees saw species like the Harpy Eagle. At Christ the King Lutheran Church, Dickerson Park Zoo offered educational programs, along with vendors, contests, and activities. The coloring and photo contests were popular, drawing many entries. Viewing opportunities at Bagnell Dam were provided by Missouri Master Naturalists and Boy Scout Troops. Despite challenging weather, the event was a success, with many first-time attendees. Supported by over 50 businesses and organizations, the event celebrated the area’s natural beauty and economic value. The 2026 Eagle Days will be held on January 10.
