For years, drivers along Highway 54 between Eldon and Lake Ozark have wondered about a building that has served many purposes, from a feed store to an auction site to a restaurant. Now, it has a fresh, new look. The building has been transformed into the headquarters and showroom for Otto Construction and Ragan Cabinets. Known for their high-end work around Lake Ozark, owner Tony Otto identified a need for a premier cabinet supplier, leading to the launch of Ragan Cabinets. On October 24, the businesses officially moved in, with plans for an open house this winter to welcome the community to their new location at 3 Riley Mead Ln., Eldon, MO.
Randy Scism, the founder of Marine Technology, Inc. (MTI), has built a legacy that stretches beyond high-performance boats. It’s a story of passion, craftsmanship, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. But according to Randy, the foundation of MTI started with a simple, yet powerful philosophy. “I’ve been building high-performance boats for over 30 years, and my philosophy has always been to create something that’s faster, safer, and more stable than anything else out there,” Randy reflects. “I want MTI to push the boundaries of design and performance, and that’s what we strive for every day.”
Dave and Suzie Spence are true Missourians who care for the state’s growth and its antiquity. As former owners of a historic multi-acre home in St. Louis, the Spences, after years as second homeowners at the Lake, are now full-time Lake residents. Uniquely, the Spences share time in California where they own a successful winery. Their passion for history, design, and family is evident in that their Lake of the Ozarks home is designed to be a lasting space for future generations.

The evening featured a selection of heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts, all skillfully prepared live by the resort’s talented chef. The gathering included patrons, advertisers, and nonprofits, coming together to honor the “Ambassadors of Hope.” This prestigious group included Jan Amos, Adrienne Anderson, Scarlett Araúz, Caitlyn Bishop, Minette Buhr, Carolyn Davinroy, Stephanie Dominique, Sharon Haughey, Dr. Michael Janssen, Mark McAdams, and Joann Rutherford. These extraordinary individuals were recognized for their contributions and ability to inspire others through their resilience and achievements. Their stories were highlighted, and L•O PROFILE donated to their selected charities. The event also celebrated the A-List Young Professionals’ impactful generational leadership and commitment to their family businesses. Overall, L•O PROFILE contributed over $5,000 to 23 different charities, making the anniversary event a significant success and showcasing the community’s dedication to growth and support.
THE 36TH ANNUAL LAKE OF THE OZARKS SHOOTOUT was one of the largest Lake events, featuring thrilling races and local festivities. Kicking off with the 15th Annual Mini Shootout at Ha Ha Tonka on August 16-18, the excitement continued with the SHOOTOUT Hall of Fame Dinner on August 20 at The Lighthouse in Sunrise Beach, followed by the SHOOTOUT Street Party on August 21 at Bagnell Dam. The Poly Lift Boat Lifts SHOOTOUT Poker Run took place on August 23, alongside a live auction. The main event, the SHOOTOUT races, was held on August 24-25 at Captain Ron’s Bar & Grill. L•O PROFILE proudly sponsored the event, cele- brating this unsanctioned race’s community and charity spirit. Known for powerful boats racing at speeds exceeding 200 mph, the SHOOTOUT captivates fans. It emphasizes THE community spirit, with proceeds benefiting local charities, making it a memorable celebration of speed and camaraderie on the lake.
LAKE OF THE OZARKS 17TH ANNUAL BIKEFEST was held September 11-15. Thousands of mo- torcycle enthusiasts from all over the United States enjoyed scenic rides around the Lake of the Ozarks, including over three hundred biker-friendly bars, restaurants, hotels, and campgrounds. This four-day event, sponsored by Aaron Sachs and Associates and many others, featured vendor villages, concerts, mapped rides, and a passport run. Jessica Clark was announced as the winner of the bike giveaway, a 2023 Heritage Softail 120th Anniversary Edition Harley-Davidson courtesy of Lake of the Ozarks Harley-Davidson. THE 2024 CONCERT SERIES at Ozarks Amphitheater featured performances by Koe Wetzel, Justin Moore, Cypress Hill, Foreigner, and Brantley Gilbert. Fans enjoyed a variety of music and festivities, including the Food Truck Festival, this season.
